I just gave a tree as a present, but I made a mistake. Can I change it?

Find out how to correct a mistake in the gift process, change the delivery method or cancel a gift in this article.

 

🆘 You made a mistake? 😜

💡 Don't worry! You can correct it before the recipient redeems the gift.

 

🎁 There are in fact 3 things you can do after setting the gift:

  • correct an error
  • change the delivery method
  • or simply cancel the gift process if you have changed your mind and want to keep the tree for yourself  🔁 🌳

Before we get started and see the steps for each of the options, though...

👉🏼 Make sure you're logged in, first of all!  

 

👉🏼 And enter your Treedom profile, in the "Trees - Owned" section 👤 🌳



Let's now see the cases 😊


 

🍃  How to correct an error 

     and/or change the delivery method

 

After logging in with your credentials, enter your profile, in the section "Trees - Owned".

🔹  Here, you will notice the "On Delivery" button right on the tree you chose to give away:

🔹  Click on "On Delivery" and a new window will open, showing you the gift details:

here you can read the name of the recipient, the dedication you had written to him/her and check the delivery method.

 

To correct an error, you must cancel the gift process, fill in the fields with the new information and confirm.

PLEASE NOTE

Only the gift process will be cancelled. The tree you purchased will not be cancelled❗

🔹 So, click on "Cancel gift process" 

 

and then return to your profile, in "Trees - Owned".

🔹  Set up the gift again by clicking on "Gift it" directly in your profile, or from the tree page itself, and you're done 😃   

     

 


 

🍃  How to cancel a gift

 

After logging in with your credentials, enter your profile in the "Trees - Owned" section.

🔹 Here, you will notice the "On Delivery" button on the tree you chose to give as a gift:

 

🔹  Click on "On Delivery" and a new window will open, showing you the gift details:

here, you will be able to read the name of the recipient, the dedication you had written to him/her, and check the delivery method.

 

🔹  Now, all you have to do is click on the dedicated button "Cancel gift process"

PLEASE NOTE

Only the gift process will be cancelled. The tree you purchased will not be cancelled❗

 

🌳 You will simply return the tree to yourself 🤗

🔺 Afterwards, if you can redo the gift procedure by filling in the fields to gift the tree, if you want and whenever you want 🔺

 

🔹 Make sure you're logged in your Treedom account and Click on the drop-down menu;

then click on "Give your trees" 💝 to set the gift again:
