I just gave a tree as a present, but I made a mistake. Can I change it?

Find out how to correct a mistake in the gift process, change the delivery method or cancel a gift in this article.

 

🆘 You made a mistake? 

💡 Don't worry! You can correct it before the recipient redeems the gift.

 

🎁 There are in fact 3 things you can do after setting the gift:

  • correct an error
  • change the delivery method
  • or simply cancel the gift process if you have changed your mind and want to keep the tree for yourself  🔁 🌳

Before we get started and see the steps for each of the options, though...

👉🏼 Make sure you're logged in, first of all.

👉🏼 Enter MyTreedom, your personal area, and go to the "Gifts" section 👤 🌳

 


 

🍃  How to correct an error and/or change the delivery method

🔹  In the "Gifts" section you will notice the gifts that are still waiting to be redeemed. You need to click on the gifts you would like to correct.

🔹  A new tab will open and show the gift details:

here you can read the name of the recipient, the dedication you had written to him/her and check the delivery method.

To correct an error, you must cancel the gift process, fill in the fields with the new information and confirm.

PLEASE NOTE

Only the gift process will be cancelled. The tree you purchased will not be cancelled❗


🔹 So, click on "Cancel gift" 

 

 

and then return to your profile, in "Gifts" section.

Set up the gift again: simply click on "Gift one of your trees" 


 

🍃  How to cancel a gift

After logging in with your credentials, enter your Treedom personal area and go to the "Gifts" section.
🔹 Here, you will notice the gifts that are still waiting to be redeemed. You need to click on the gifts you would like to cancel. For example:

 

 

🔹  If you press "Cancel gift":

only the gift process will be cancelled. The tree you purchased will not be cancelled❗

🌳 You will simply return the tree to yourself 🤗
