Would you like to gift a tree to someone special?
Follow the gifting process:
- Recipient’s Name: You can enter the recipient's name (and surname, if you wish).
- Select the tree(s): If you have more than one tree, you can choose them all. You can also edit the tree’s name if desired.
- Choose the delivery method: Write a dedication and select an image to make the gift even more special.
❇️ Not registered yet? No worries! Before completing the payment, the platform will guide you through a few simple steps.
❇️ You don’t need to create a profile for the recipient ;) They will do it when they receive the gift, following the instructions to redeem it.
❇️ Want to gift more than one tree? You can set up each gift separately, assigning each tree to a different person.
❇️ Remember, each tree can only be gifted to one person, as only one recipient will be able to complete the redemption process.
Setting up the gift:
Have you selected the tree (or trees) to gift but don’t know what to do next? Here’s how:
👤 Log in to your personal area:Once your purchase is complete, log in to your MyTreedom account.
🎁 Select “Gifts”:
In the “Gifts” section, you’ll find the button “Gift one of your trees.”
Follow the gifting process:
- Recipient’s Name: You can enter the recipient's name (and surname, if you wish).
- Select the tree(s): If you have more than one tree, you can choose them all. You can also edit the tree’s name if desired.
- Choose the delivery method: Write a dedication and select an image to make the gift even more special.
👉 ℹ️ Delivery Methods
You can choose only one of the three available options:
- Email: Enter the recipient’s email address and select the date and time for delivery. We’ll send the email for you!
- Link: The system will generate a link you can share via WhatsApp, SMS, or any other messaging platform.
- Card: Download the PDF card, print it, and deliver it in person.
💚 What does the recipient receive?
Depending on the delivery method you choose, the recipient will receive their gift as follows:
- Email: The email will include information about Treedom and a “Open Your Gift” button with instructions for registration and redemption.
- Link: The recipient will click the link to see your name, your dedication, and instructions to register and accept the gift.
- Card: The card will include your dedication and instructions to redeem the gift via a QR code to scan or a Treecode to enter on our website.
🤔 What happens next?
The recipient will access the virtual page of the tree with all its details.
Once the tree is planted, they will receive its geographic coordinates and a photo of the planting.
Over time, they can monitor the amount of CO2 the tree absorbs as it grows. Additionally, they’ll find updates about the agroforestry project their tree is part of in the "Stories" section, along with other content on sustainability and local communities.
❓ Are there any deadlines?
Yes, once the purchase is made, you have 12 months to set up and deliver the gift. However, the recipient must complete the redemption process within 6 months of receiving the gift.
